A surface water pump helps in pumping out water from a water body, like a well, a river, and transports it to different destinations. It can be used to pump water for domestic purposes, gardening, or for the removal of wastewater. Water is pushed up the pipe by impellers powered by the motor and then into a surface-mounted tank when the pressure switch is activated. The water is taken out with the help of rotating turbines or impellers which create a suction. A surface water pump can be used in a water body that measures 8m in depth or less.
